Biogas technology is rendering important environmental advantages by reducing greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions. Due to production of the regenerative energy ‘biogas’ when decomposing organic materials, biogas plants are considerably contributing to protect resources.

MEHRER-compressors in special ATEX-version are most successfully used in biogas plants since long, besides others for compression of biogases, flue gases, reclamation of process gases, for carbonation of methane, etc.

For CHPs as well, MEHRER-compressors are used since long. Due to cogeneration, thermical and electrical energy is produced, which can be used for heating purposes of buildings and industrial water.
