Focus of your activity

In this project you work on the fluid mechanical investigation of a valve for reciprocating compressors. For this purpose, the flow through a compressor outlet valve is to be modeled, calculated and analyzed. The modeling and calculation is based on a given valve geometry with the OpenFOAM software. The results should be presented and evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results, suggestions for optimizing our reciprocating compressors will be derived.

Your profile

  • You study mechanical engineering, physics or related subjects and enjoy numerical simulations (CFD).
  • You have knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
  • You work independently and are able to independently acquire knowledge and familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility.
  • You communicate in German and English.
