We develop compressor solutions for you that are perfectly adapted to your needs.
The produced gas in biogas plants is already similar to natural gas, but the raw gas contains undesirable high amounts of carbon dioxide, which is separated after production. In many existing plants for biogas production and purification the CO2 is released into the atmosphere. In order to compensate the global increase of CO2 in the atmosphere, CO2 is increasingly recovered from biomass or directly drawn from the air (direct air capture) for industrial use.
For further use, the CO2 extracted during biogas treatment is first compressed for storage and reliquefaction. The captured CO2 is made storable by a two-stage oil-free reciprocating compressor.
The CO2 is supplied to applications such as the carbonation of beverages, the production of e-fuels or the supply of greenhouses to accelerate plant growth.
