The energy transition in Germany is gaining momentum. If you look at data from the Federal Motor Transport Authority, the number of new registrations of vehicles with alternative drives is increasing every year. Compared to the same period in the previous year, this share increased by 98,5 percent. It becomes clear that more and more of these vehicles will be on the roads of Germany in the future.
Fire brigades in particular, who provide emergency services in the event of a traffic accident, are breaking new ground here and must therefore be sensitized and trained in the new technology. In the course of the troop leader course held in the Zollernalb district, the emergency services were instructed in the field of alternative drives by their trainers.
A real highlight for the firefighters was the company's hydrogen car Mehrer Compression, which was made available as a demonstration object. For many of the emergency services, who had not previously had any contact with hydrogen-based vehicles, it was very interesting and instructive to be able to experience the advanced technology up close. Just like the company Mehrer fire fighters want to remain fit for the future and are ready to take on the challenges of the energy transition.
