For final use at hydrogen refueling stations, the hydrogen produced from the electrolysis must be compressed and provided in tanks.
The hydrogen is compressed oil-free with a suction pressure of 1 bara to 201 bara via a compressor combination of TRZ 700 and TRZ 1000. Both compressors are directly driven by a main motor, per compressor unit is compressed in 1000 stages. A special feature is the automatic condensate discharge. The hydrogen from the electrolysis is saturated with water vapor, the condensate is separated from the process after each compressor stage to prevent water from accumulating in the compressor. The plant is delivered to the USA, as a requirement was the plant according to the regulation ASME B700 "Hydrogen Piping and Pipelines" interpreted.
