Successful climate protection requires a move away from fossil fuels towards renewable energies. Hydrogen plays an important role in the sustainable transformation of energy supply. As a versatile energy source, it can be used across sectors, for example for clean mobility, an efficient supply of electricity and heat, as a storage medium to compensate for fluctuating renewable energies, as the basis for alternative fuels or as a process gas in industry. The use of hydrogen offers the possibility of massively reducing the emission of the harmful greenhouse gas CO2 in the areas of energy, transport and industry and thus counteracting climate change.

For research with green hydrogen, our customer relied on a compact container system with the Mehrer Compressor TVD 900, which compresses the hydrogen from 1,015 bara to 30,5 bara. Thanks to the included cooler, control cabinet, dryer and H2 tank, the modular container system could be easily integrated into the existing system. We are pleased to be able to supply a key system component for this forward-looking hydrogen project as well.
